Foursaken Feature Archive

Hello everyone, and welcome back to Foursaken Feature, where we bring you new material to improve your fourth edition game.  Last time I was here I did an article where I provided some new feat support for some of the monster races you can find in the back of the Monster Manual, specifically goblins, hobgoblins, kobolds, and orcs.  This week I intend to continue in that vein and provide feat support for some of the other “savage” races found in the Monster Manual, namely bugbears, gnolls, and minotaurs.  So let’s get to it.

Heroic Tier Feats

Predatory Focus [Bugbear]
Prerequisites: Bugbear, Predatory Eye
Effect: You gain the benefits of your Predatory Eye racial power against bloodied opponents even if you do not have combat advantage.

Charger’s Fury [Gnoll]
Prerequisites: Gnoll, Ferocious Charge
Effect: Whenever you are bloodied, you may use your Ferocious Charge racial power as though it were an at-will power rather than an encounter power.

Thrusting Gore [Minotaur]
Prerequisites: Minotaur, Goring Charge
Effect: When you successfully hit with your Goring Charge racial power, you may choose to push the target 1 square.  At 11th level the distance you may push the target increases to 2 squares and at 21st level the distance increases to 3 squares.

Paragon Tier Feats

Eye of the Warrior [Bugbear]
Prerequisites: Bugbear, Predatory Eye, Predatory Focus
Effect: When you use your Predatory Eye racial power, you gain a +4 bonus on the next attack roll you make before the end of the turn.

Devastating Charge [Gnoll]
Prerequisites: Ferocious Charge, Gnoll
Effect: When you use your Ferocious Charge racial power, you gain a +4 bonus to attack rolls made while charging for the rest of the encounter.  This bonus increases to +6 at 21st level.

Ferocious Warrior [Minotaur]
Prerequisites: Minotaur, Ferocity
Effect: When reduced to 0 hit points, you may use any at-will attack power you have available to you as a free action instead of making a basic melee attack.

Epic Tier Feats

Eye of the Hunter [Bugbear]
Prerequisites: Bugbear, Predatory Eye, Predatory Focus, Eye of the Warrior
Effect: You gain the benefits of your Predatory Eye Racial power, regardless of whether your foe is bloodied or if you have combat advantage.  If you do have combat advantage or your foe is bloodied, you deal an extra +5 damage if you use your Predatory Eye Racial power.

Blood Frenzy [Gnoll]
Prerequisites: Gnoll, Blood Fury
Effect: You gain a + 2 bonus on attack rolls and all defenses while bloodied.

Ferocious Master [Minotaur]
Prerequisites: Minotaur, Ferocity, Ferocious Warrior
Effect: When reduced to 0 hit points, you may use any encounter attack power you have available to you as a free action instead of making a basic melee attack or using an at-will power.

Thank you for joining us for another exciting Foursaken Feature.  If the monster race you wanted to see didn’t make it in this week, don’t fret – we’ll be sure to get around to it in the future.  Until then I would like to wish you all the best in your gaming endeavors.
