Bonus Domains

            Welcome again to From the Workshop, where we showcase a bevy of new magic items, monsters and even alternate class features. This week I’ve unlocked new divine powers for clerics to wield.

 

Lycanthropy Domain

Granted Powers:  Cleric with the lycanthropy domain who contract lycanthropy are more in control of their actions than other afflicted lycanthropes. Your alignment isn’t affected by becoming a lycanthrope; if you were already an afflicted lycanthrope before obtaining the lycanthropy domain, your alignment reverts back to what it was at the time you contracted lycanthropy.

Claws of the Beast (Su):  At 1st level, you can grow claws as a free action. These claws are treated as natural weapons, allowing you to make two claw attacks as a full attack action using your full base attack bonus. These attacks deal 1d4 points of damage each (1d3 if you are Small) plus your Strength modifier. At 5th level, these claws are considered silver weapons for the purpose of overcoming DR. At 8th level, the damage increases by one step to 1d6 points of damage (1d4 if you are Small). If you already have a claw attack this ability increases their damage by one step at 1st level and by two steps at 8th level. This is a supernatural ability. You can use your claws for a number of rounds per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Hide of the Beast (Ex):  At 8th level, you gain DR over silver equal to 1/4 your cleric level (rounded down).

Domain Spells:  1st—calm animals, 2nd—hold animal, 3rd—dominate animal, 4th—summon nature's ally IV (animals only), 5th—beast shape III (animals only), 6th—antilife shell, 7th—animal shapes, 8th—summon nature's ally VIII (animals only), 9th—shapechange.

 

Retribution Domain

Granted Powers:  You make sure no misdeed goes unpunished.

Retributive Smite (Su):  You gain the retributive smite power: the supernatural ability to make a single melee attack with a morale bonus on attack rolls equal to your Wisdom bonus (if any) and on damage rolls equal to  1/2 your cleric level. You may make your retributive smite as part of an attack against an enemy who has either attacked you or an adjacent ally since the end of your last round. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier and can only use it once per round.

Retribution Aura (Su):  At 8th level, you can emit a 30-ft aura of retribution for a number of rounds per day equal to your cleric level. Enemies that successfully strike you or an ally within the aura take damage equal to 1/4 your cleric level; this damage is not subject to damage reduction. These rounds do not need to be consecutive.

Domain Spells:  1st—true strike, 2nd—spiritual weapon, 3rd—rage, 4th—fire shield, 5th—mark of justice, 6th—blade barrier, 7th—destruction, 8th—power word stun, 9th—storm of vengeance.

 

Transformation Domain

Granted Powers:  You can manipulate your own form with great ease.

Morphic Weapon (Su):  As a swift action, one of your hands can become any melee weapon that can be wielded in one hand. While your hand is transformed into a weapon, it functions as a weapon of that type in all ways except that you can never be disarmed and you gain a bonus on damage rolls equal to 1/4 your cleric level (minimum +1). You do not automatically gain proficiency with the weapon your hand transformed into. At 5th level, this weapon is considered a magic weapon for the purpose of overcoming DR. You can use this ability for a number of rounds per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. You can’t enchant your morphic weapon and it doesn’t benefit from an amulet of mighty fists.

Change Shape (Sp):  At 8th level, you can change your shape for a number of rounds per day equal to your cleric level. These rounds do not need to be consecutive. This ability otherwise functions like beast shape II or elemental body I. At 12th level, this ability functions like beast shape III or elemental body II.

Domain Spells:  1st—enlarge person, 2nd—alter self, 3rd—beast shape I, 4th—elemental body I, 5th—plant shape I, 6th—form of the dragon I, 7th—giant form I, 8th—iron body, 9th—shapechange.
