              Welcome again to Masters and Minions, where I strive to give you interesting NPCs and encounters that can be placed easily into your game. This week I have a possible recurring location and NPC: the Cloak and Dagger Inn, run by the half-orc Karag Mile. There are countless rumors running around town about Karag; some claim he used to by one of the King’s top spies, others say he was the leader of a notorious assassin’s guild and had to flee for his life when he was deposed by the current guild leader, and there are even some who say Karag is actually a powerful wizard or dragon disguised as an innkeeper.  Most people in town seem to think Karag started all these rumors just to stir up business for his inn, and in a way this is true. Karag did start the majority of these rumors but not to stir up business; he started the rumors to hide the fact that he was in fact a spy in the employ of the King (the reasons for him no longer being a spy are up to you). For most people in town, Karag is just a simple innkeeper, but for the PCs he is an informant and valuable ally (albeit not the mosttrust worthy of allies).

               If a fight breaks out, Karag only gets involved if the fight gets out of hand. He will attempt to disarm each combatant, but otherwise he stays out of the fight.
