I Dream of Djinni

              Welcome again to Masters and Minions, where I strive to give you interesting NPCs and encounters that can be placed easily into your game.  This week’s encounter is for level 1-2 characters and gives them a chance to team up against a powerful foe.  After fighting their way through many zombies and skeletons they find the keeper of this crypt: the necromancer, Nehrem.  Standing before Nehrem is the djinni, Ajdim.  Unlike most djinni, Ajdim is chaotic evil.  Ajdim commissioned Nehrem to create for him a powerful magic scimitar forged from the souls of the dead.  After having some trouble acquiring the souls, Nehrem decided to double the asking price for the sword to make up for his losses.  Suffice it to say, Ajdim was not happy with this increase in price. When the PCs arrive they find the djinni and the necromancer at each other’s throats. Ajdim offers to pay the PCs the original asking price of 2000gp if they help him take the sword from the necromancer. Nehrem offers the PCs the scimitar if they help him deal with the djinni. You can find stats for djinni in the Pathfinder Bestiary. The sword is a +1 scimitar.
